La Festa Italiana

Our La Festa Italiana began in 1902 as a street festival in honor of Our Lady of the Assumption & St. Rocco, two feast days which were venerated by thousands of parishioners at Holy Rosary Church in Historic Downtown Jersey City.

Today, the festival continues to draw thousands of people from all across the country as they make their annual trip back to their home parish. It has become one of the most anticipated yearly events in Historic Downtown Jersey City!

5 Days, Between Brunswick & Monmouth St!

Founded in 1885, Holy Rosary Church is the oldest Italian Roman Catholic Church in New Jersey. Its congregation reflects the growing “tapestry of nations” that make up the demographics of downtown Jersey City.

A joyful feast awaits those visiting Holy Rosary's Old World street festival, the wonderful LA FESTA ITALIANA!
